Abstract

The research was carried out with the objective of describing the techniques and studying habits in meaningful learning of the student, as it has been observed inconstancy of the same, also of a temporal learning. The importance of studying relies on the verification of the applied techniques – deducting their effectiveness- when establishing those ones that promote a meaningful learning, and that boost a critical thinking.

It was demonstrated that the study techniques implemented by the students are inappropriate in a meaningful learning for only a few of them use mind maps, which contribute to the development of a synthetic, reflexive, and creative thinking. Their habits, similarly, are not that encouraging since there were described individualist and inconstant habits in the organization of study time, inadequate schedules, failure when fulfilling agendas, use of distractive gadgets such as cell phones and others.

Among the best techniques implemented by students, there are the observation and listening to interpretations during the classes, being both merely sensory learning.  This capability needs to be exploited for the teaching methods of teachers clarifying their thinking, reinforcing their understanding, and integrating their schemata, strengthening even more the quality and effectiveness of learning.
