Abstract

This article comes from the research created in the City of Santa Ana, about the behavior of entrepreneurs in the practice of financing the community through donations, either monetary or in species, which might be: construction material, paint, tools, and equipment. This is created with the aim of contributing with the cleaning of streets, institutions, parks, or iconic places of the society as well as helping the preservation of the environment and others. All these actions are considered corporate social responsibility, also known as CSR.

CSR is a term that has become a tendency due to the satisfaction produced in both in the employers and in the society. Similarly, many institutions have begun to retake it as consequences of the requirements of stakeholders of companies, such as: consumers, providers, community, NGOs, investors, etc.; just to mention some.

Sometimes the corporate social responsibility takes part of an additional strategic activity in the commercial competition, specifically in the big companies, which try to take advantage of the expectations that they come up in order to obtain competitive advantages that, in a future, would lead to the achievement of surplus to the organizations that practice them.

In this work, there are displayed some definitions of the topic; there are described the main findings, and the respective discussion – generated for the investigation – in means of a conclusion.
