Evaluation of the Effects of Two Growth Regulators (Indole-3-Acetic Acid and 6-Benzylaminopurine) on Propagation by Scales from Mature Bulbs of Four Asian Lily Clones (Lilium spp.) and Two Oriental Lily Clones (Lilium spp.)

Abstract

In the study, lily clones (clone 100, clone 200, clone 300, clone 400, clone 500, and clone 600) were named; each with its numbering, using the modified Murashige and Skoog (1962) medium, with growth regulators: indole-3-acetic acid at concentrations 0.0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mg/l and 6-benzylaminopurine at concentrations 0.0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mg/l. The previously established material was used under in vitro conditions in a completely randomized design with sixteen treatments and ten replications for each.

The results obtained were as follows: for clone 100, the best treatment was 0.0 mg/l IAA with 0.5 mg/l BAP (T5); for clone 200, the best treatment was 0.5 mg/l IAA with 0.5 mg/l BAP (T6); for clone 300, the best treatment was 1.0 mg/l IAA with 0.5 mg/l BAP (T7); for clone 400, the best treatment was 0.5 mg/l IAA with 0.0 mg/l BAP (T2); for clone 500, the best treatment was 0.5 mg/l IAA with 0.0 mg/l BAP (T2); for clone 600, the best treatment was 1.5 mg/l IAA with 0.0 mg/l BAP (T4).
