Institutional Support for the Cultural Offer Management of the Western Regional Museum

Abstract

The research topic was the institutional support for the cultural offer management of the Western Regional Museum, being originated from government entities and the private sector of the country.

At first, it was specified the needs the museum had (economically and institutionally), in order to have an integral management of its cultural offer through the description of the possible and appropriate resources to determine the participation modalities of each identified institutional body as a viable source. After that, action strategies identified as feasible were designed for the organizations, with the purpose of obtaining their support for the management of the Museum; and propose an alternative before other institutional entities in the event that the investigated organizations were not willing to collaborate.

None of the addressed private entities are willing to include in their social responsibility programs the support for the administrative and economic management of the Museum; meanwhile, the government institutions do not have the budget that allows them to increase their cooperation in this field. As a consequence, the alternative to achieve the needed support consists on asking for help to friendly countries and non-government organizations through an action program in cooperation with the Museum, interested institutions in this endeavor and the Government.
