Methodologies and Technological Tools in the Transition from Face-to-Face to Virtual Education

Abstract

The research study focused on the implementation of new technologies and technological tools by teachers, both full-time and hourly, during the transition from face-to-face to virtual education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A descriptive study was conducted using focus groups and questionnaires as instruments. These were administered to teachers in the Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Sciences, with a specialization in English Language.

The study analyzed how teachers have used various technologies and tools to facilitate this transition. These technologies include online learning platforms, videoconferences, mobile applications, and interactive digital resources. Additionally, issues such as inadequate training, the digital divide among students, and a lack of appropriate technological equipment were identified.

The conclusion highlights the importance of teachers being willing to adapt and learn new technological skills to ensure effective education in the virtual environment.
