Abstract

Teacher performance is a powerful tool for improving educational quality. In this sense, performance evaluation is a process used to assess an individual's excellence and qualities, and above all, their contribution to achieving the organization's objectives.

This research analyzed the performance evaluation of 49 professors in the Business Administration program at the Edupraxis Higher Technological Institute in Ecuador. In this case study, the predominant criteria were pedagogical. Therefore, a proposal for teacher evaluation criteria is suggested, one that considers a professional development plan as a fundamental element.
