Abstract

The operational efficiency of physical data centers is a critical consideration when constructing or renovating these facilities. Reasons for addressing this issue include improving energy efficiency, physical security, risk management, processing capacity, and resource management. Implementing measures to improve energy efficiency can reduce energy costs.
Research background includes studies on the energy efficiency of physical data centers in North America, reports on the global physical data center market, analyses of risk management and physical security in data centers, approaches to resource management, and the use of artificial intelligence to optimize the operational efficiency of physical data centers.
Improving physical security can protect stored data and reduce the risk of cyberattacks. Risk management can minimize the risk of disruptions to data center operations and improve business continuity. Likewise, improving processing capacity can keep the data center up-to-date with the latest technology, optimizing resource management and improving the operational efficiency of the physical data center.
