TOWARDS THE GLASS BOX AS PRINCIPLES IN THE TEACHING OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

Abstract

The research was carried out with third year Architecture students with the purpose of knowing the design methodology application level. During the research, it was found a lack of Architecture project’s management since it has only been used the “Black Box” common method; this method is characterized by poor investigation requirement, absence of technical and formal criteria, as well as for being the fastest way to solve a project; nevertheless, its results are not as satisfactory as they should be; they are dysfunctional and    inadequate    resulting in a deficient land analysis, even though they are formally pleasant. To this situation, it was set up the pursuit of a methodological guide that can be applied to the teaching process so that it can motivate students to read and investigate in order to go deeper in the project.
