Abstract

Academic evaluation at the Catholic University of El Salvador aims to identify shortcomings, needs, requirements, and problems at all levels of the institution. Therefore, this process takes into account the main stakeholders: faculty and students. This involved a complex study to identify the forms, instruments, and criteria that guide the methodology. This methodology allows for the management of diverse numerical and estimated indicators, providing working hypotheses regarding the current state and recommendations for improving the evaluation process within the university context. Furthermore, the study reflects the process experienced by the university sector within a society characterized by the rapid advancement of knowledge and information, and accelerated changes in educational structures; it is a formal, ongoing, and systematic process.
