Inclusive education in Morocco: Policy analysis and classroom impact

Abstract

This study analyzes the challenges and opportunities for implementing inclusive education in Moroccan schools. It seeks to understand how educational policies, teacher training, community attitudes, and contextual factors influence the promotion of educational equity and the building of more just societies. Key barriers and enablers of inclusion are identified through a critical review of the literature, case studies, and interviews with key stakeholders. The paper offers concrete recommendations to strengthen inclusive education and ensure the full and effective participation of all students. It argues that inclusive education is 
not only a fundamental human right but also a strategic investment for the development of a more equitable and cohesive country.
