Implementation of the Flipped Classroom in the subject of Research Methods and Techniques at the Catholic University of El Salvador

Abstract

This research contributes to the training of future professionals by providing learning spaces that foster effective understanding, transforming traditional education into one where students manage their own learning processes. Therefore, an action research project was implemented, putting the "flipped classroom" educational model into practice at the university level, specifically in the Research Methods and Techniques course during the first and second semesters of 2017 in the English Language Bachelor's program at the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities of the Catholic University of El Salvador. As part of the application of this methodology, information was gathered on the progress achieved through observation and group interviews. Students accepted this approach, appreciating the clarity it provided in developing the various required assignments, with the instructor acting as a guide in the teaching and learning process.
